Component protection removal explained

Component protection disables a module taken from another car: climate control, navigation, cameras, engine ECU and instrument cluster stay in limp mode until the part is adapted.

Removal is done online in a GEKO session: ODIS asks the server for confirmation and binds the part to the VIN of the current vehicle.

Our ODIS Immo Log In and Component Protection service costs 120€ and includes key and immobilizer component adaptation within the session.

Before you start, make sure the part is not still paired to another vehicle or flagged as stolen — otherwise the server replies with an FAZ15xx error.
